You’ve felt the weight of expectations to conform to other’s standards of who you “should” be for as long as you can remember.
It might feel extra draining as the pressure comes from multiple sources- perhaps from family, friends, religion, school, or society.
You’re fed up with spinning in the same circles and experiencing the same internal conflict; parts of you are done with feeling unseen and misunderstood, while other parts of you have concerns about being a burden or fear of being rejected.
You imagine breaking free of the box you’ve been put in but don’t quite know how. It feels difficult to begin unraveling what parts of your identity are authentically you, versus what others expect you to be.
You’ve tried different things- searching for the perfect coping strategy that brings a sense of calm, attempting to set boundaries with others who do not seem to understand, pushing down uncomfortable emotions in hopes they go away, or maybe avoiding others as it feels hard to be perceived.
Together, let's create a space where you don't need anyone's approval or to be anything other than exactly who you are.
A space where identity can be fluid, and you can try different selves on. Let’s begin dusting off the guilt and shame associated with the different aspects of you and recoat them with curiosity and kindness.
My hope is to gently guide you inwards to discover your own innate wisdom, learn how to fully feel your feelings, and help you foster a deeper and more connected relationship with yourself and others.
